Mark Lacy is the Partner & Operations Manager, working as the primary operator on the mobile wine bottling trailer, and the primary point of contact for sales and customer service. He went to college at the Penn State University, where he studied business. He moved to the Washington DC area to begin a career in the food industry. As Mark says, he has two passions – food/wine and computers. Food was his first passion – and that includes wine and beer. Mark worked for nearly seventeen years in commercial food, helping restaurants and hotels to stock food, purchase kitchen equipment, and launch restaurant openings. Mark’s technical abilities are innate and self-taught. His technical aptitude, sales and customer relations experience, plus many years of experience fixing computer equipment have all come to play in the current business. Even with our state-of-the-art bottling equipment, you have to be able to repair and innovate on a daily basis. You have to be a quick learner to succeed. In addition to his job experiences with restaurants and technology, Mark is a home brewer, so he is also knowledgeable about the importance of sanitization in the bottling processes for beer or wine. As to personality, Mark is outgoing, friendly, fun, upbeat and energetic. He puts his heart and soul into doing a good job and making his customers happy.
